Curiosity, connection and conscious-awareness help us creatively addressing the impact of violence on learning. Our foundation is a radical respect for the brilliance of survival strategies, and a fierce recognition of the capacity of all of us to learn and change.

Writing on a woman's bare back: I will break free from my chains for they have finally exposed themselves. With each chain that I break I let lightness in. The lightness warms and comforts me as you couldn't. You have no power over me now. To invade. To control To manipulate. To crush. Your actions almost squeezed the life out of me. Why should I cower from life? for you? Never! I owe you nothing. I am a strong courageous woman. I seek no revenge. The vicious whip you unleashed on me will turn on you and its sting will be too much for you to bear
